Does punctuation ever make you feel a little…uncertain? Maybe you hesitate before adding a comma. Maybe you avoid semicolons because you’re pretty sure you’ll use them wrong. Maybe you see a dash and think, "Wait—is that supposed to be an en dash or an em dash?"
Videos make it easy to learn. If you've been wanting to learn punctuation with Grammar Revolution, but you've been wanting a more interactive experience than I usually offer, this is it! Starting on February 23, I'll be hosting an interactive session of our Smart Punctuation program. Here's the introductory lesson. :)
The Smart Punctuation Course
& Bonus Interactive Challenge
February 23–March 20
The lessons themselves are completely self-study. The “interactive” part simply means you can post questions or share sentences in a private forum if you’d like, but participation is optional. You’ll have lifetime access, so you can move at any pace you wish.
What does that mean?
Each weekday of this challenge, I'll open one of the 20 lessons to you. You can move through the lessons at your own pace, but the interactive forum will only be available from Feb. 23–March 13.
You'll watch a video and complete exercises for each lesson. You'll have the option of posting two or three of your own sentences in a private forum. I'll be there to answer any questions and give you feedback if you'd like.
You can expect to spend roughly 20 minutes a weekday going through the lessons.
You can always look back at these rules.I want to help you understand punctuation, and I want you to have a good time doing it! I'll be there to give you the support and encouragement you need to understand the material.

A comma sounded right to my ear, but I was never sure. Now, I understand. I’m feeling so proud of myself. When I’m reading the newspaper, I check the journalist’s punctuation to see if I understand why he/she used a comma or other punctuation. Am I becoming “jazzed?”
Thanks so much. I love the course.

Your organized presentation, introducing one concept at a time, made the material clear and graspable. I really enjoyed this class and found it very valuable.
